A Long long time ago, in a village—somewhere in the Central Java called Majethi, there lived a young and wise man named Aji Saka.
*Aji Saka enters*
One day, he asked his father to permit him to roam. And his father did, so he went for wandering. Because of his wisdom, Aji Saka became famous. Later, he had two servants.
*Dora & Sembada enters*
Their name were Dora and Sembada. They were very loyal to Aji Saka that they always obey their master's order. One day, Aji Saka gave an order to Sembada—one of his servant to stay in Mountain Kendeng and to keep his keris.
Aji Saka : Sembada, my beloved disciple. I command you to keep my sacred weapon, keris. Do not give this weapon to anyone other than myself.
Sembada : Yes master. I will do as your command.
*Aji Saka & Dora left*
Aji Saka and Dora left Sembada in Mountain Kendeng alone. After that, theycontinued their journey to the south.
*Aji Saka & Dora arrive in the middle*
Time passed. Their journey brought them to a kingdom called Medang Kamulan. It was such a strange palace. The kingdom ruled by a giant king named Prabu Dewata Cengkar. He had a strange habit of eating human flesh. The villagers were miserable and poor.
Dora : Master, look at them! These people look miserable and poor. This must be Prabu Dewata Cengkar’s fault.
Aji Saka : You’re right, Dora. What a cruel king he is.
Dora : What should we do, master?
Aji Saka : These people needed to be saved. We have to help these people immediately.
*Aji Saka & Dora walk*
Soon, Aji Saka and Dora decided to help the people. Then, they went to Prabu Dewata Cengkar’s palace. Aji Saka was a wise and smart man. He wasn't go without plan, he had tought so much about his brave decision and already had a plan.
*Aji Saka & Dora meet Prabu Dewata Cengkar*
Dora : Greetings, Your Majesty. We come from majethi island. I'm Dora and this is my master, Aji Saka. Your Majesty, we want to offer something for you.
Aji Saka : Right, Your Majesty. And I offer you my body as your dinner.
P Cengkar : What? You? A young man want to give your body as my dinner? But you are too young. Do you have any illness?
Aji Saka : No, your Majesty.
P Cengkar : So, what have made you to do such an odd thing?
Aji Saka : I have thought it carefully, Your Majesty. And I would like to give my body to you with one condition.
P Cengkar : Tell me what it is?
Aji Saka : I ask you a land as wide as my turban. Your Majesty, you rule a big kingdom. Is my condition too hard for you?
P Cengkar : HA HA HA. Just it? Fine then. Go with my minister and he will get you whatever you want.
Aji Saka : No, My Lord. Just one simple favor, i want you to measure my land with me.
At first, Dewata Cengkar declined it but he was starving so he decided to give whatever the young man asked.
P Cengkar : Okay, I'll do it! It's too easy for me!
Aji Saka : Then, i pleased you to try, Your Majesty. Dora help me with this.
Dora : Yes, master.
*P Cengkar pulls the turban*
P Cengkar : Huh? Why is this turban is so long? When will it gonna stop?
Unexpectedly, Aji Saka’s turban was very long. Dewata Cengkar kept on moving until he finally arrived in the side of the Indian Ocean. Aji Saka pounded the turban in his hands and Prabu Dewata Cengkar thrown to the ocean.
P Cengkar : AAAAA!!!?? *drowning, turns into a white crocodile*
Suddenly, The King turned into a white crocodile and swam away. Medang Kamulan people were very happy. Finally, they were free from Dewata Cengkar’s insolence. Later, they enthroned Aji Saka as their king and he ruled Medang Kamulan wisely.
Dora : Master we did it. We saved this kingdom.
Aji Saka : Yes Dora. And I have a task for you to do.
Dora : What it is Master? I'll do it with pleasure.
Aji Saka : Go to Majethi and bring back my sacred weapon alongside with Sembada. Ask him to join with us here.
Dora : Yes, Master as your command. I'll definitely bring them back safely.
Aji Saka : Then take care.
Dora : Of course master.
*Dora left Aji Saka*
Not long after that, Dora went to Kendeng Mountain to get his master’s weapon.
*Dora comes to Sembada*
Dora : My brother, Sembada.
Sembada : Dora, my brother. It has been a long time.
Dora : Indeed. And I have been ordered by Aji Saka—our master who has been crowned as Medang Kamulan’s king now to pick up his sacred weapon alongside with you, brother.
Sembada : Dora, my brother. But you heard master had ordered me to keep his weapon. So i wont let anyone take this keris except the master himself!
Dora : But, Sembada, I’m just telling you the truth. Master really want me to bring his weapon and take you with me!
Sembada : I don't believe anyone except Master! If my words still cant reach you, then lets our power do the talk.
*Fighting scenes*
*Dora & Sembada died*
Dora and Sembada were very strong that they hurt so bad equally. Finally, the two of them died.
Meanwhile, Aji Saka waited Dora to bring his weapon. He worried that something bad happened to his servant. So, he went to Mount Kendeng to see what had happened.
*Aji Saka comes*
Aji Saka : Oh God... I’m such a fool man. I let my beloved students died because of my ignorance.... God, please forgive my foolish act.
The story wasn't finish yet. Aji Saka really regretted his fault. To recall his faithful servants, Aji Saka created Javanese script that called Dhentawyanjana or Carakan . It recounts the story of his two servants that died for keeping his trust.
Here is the letters of Carakan :
Ha Na Ca Ra Ka there were envoys
Da Ta Sa Wa La brought their own matter
Pa Dha Ja Ya Nya they were equally strong
Ma Ga Ba Tha Nga they were killed
